The really bad nightmare was last night though. I heard him screaming like a limb was being cut off. I raced to his room and saw he was physically fine so I asked him what was wrong. "You didn't eat it! It's mine and I didn't want you to eat it! You bought it for me!" I guess he had a nightmare that I ate something he wanted to have. I tried calming him down with hugs and, "It's just a dream; it's okay." He just got worse and worse until I said, "I'll buy you a new one." Then he calmed down and was just fine. He'd take the hugs now. I wish I knew what it was he dreamed I ate, so that I really could buy him a new one.

Oh that so sad poor William. I would be content and perfectly fine if noone ever had nightmares.
Nightmares are rough, but then the talking phase hits. This is when you go in at night to make sure all of the body parts are in a semi comfortable position, and are covered, if need be and give them a kiss goodnight. Then they proceed to ask about pancakes or if their sibling is in bed, or the bees are singing to me, etc... That's when you can have great interesting conversations with them that they will not remember in the morning!
That's tough, I hate bad dreams. I hope his dreams turn happy again very soon!
