Esther can read! A little while ago Esther started getting really interested in figuring out which letters were in different words. She seemed anxious and ready to learn to read. I found an easy book and for the past week or so she's been sounding out flashcards of the different words that are in it. Yesterday I got out the book and told her she could read it all by herself. She was skeptical at first, but once she got through it the first time she was so proud. This is her third time reading it.
Here is a picture Esther wanted me to put on this post. She was disappointed that she wasn't wearing her blanket dress while she read the book.

Way to go Esther! That is really exciting.
YEAH FOR ESTHER! That is so awesome. I love it when kids read, it's one of the best things, I think. Tell her we say congratulations on being able to read! and her blanket dress is very pretty too.
Ester I am so proud of you. She is a big girl now.
Wow- that is awesome. Maybe she can inspire Jada to be interested. Is Esther going to start school in the fall or are you going to wait a year? I am still debating and looking for advice. :)
