Road Trip

Last week my parents, my kids, and I got the urge to take a road trip across the country to see my brother and his family. Cameron is staying in California in order to study for the USMLE Step 1. William decided he'd be the driver.

We drove 20 hours each way, so we stopped at a lot of rest stops. The kids did really well. If it wasn't for my parents' portable DVD player, we might not have had quite as nice a trip.

We arrived on Friday, May 30. While playing Saturday, Esther realized she shared fashion taste with her two-and-a-half year old cousin.

William discovered he shared the same height with his two-and-a-half year old cousin.

Nana and Papa enjoyed meeting their new grandson and getting re-acquainted with their granddaughter.

We got to see The Mississippi (or as Esther insists: The "Mrs. Sippy") River.
It was great having so much time with our family!
And on the way home Esther and William loved their very first Burger King Crowns, courtesy of Papa.

It looks like you guys are having a lot of fun with family. Tell Cameron we are cheering him on for the big test.

What a great trip! Cameron and I stopped in St. Louis back in '05, it's a fun city.

I wish I had a BK crown, too! ;0)

P.S. I'm glad that William got you there and back so safely. He must've picked up the Grenadian's excellent driving skills!

Wow, what an adventure. Gotta love the portable DVD players I know we do. I hope Cameron does well on his test.
