Wednesday is a favorite around here because it is ART DAY!

To be honest - Esther is constantly drawing, coloring, cutting, or in other ways creating. But we usually have official art projects on Wednesdays. Today was playing around with pastels.

It's the middle of January, but I think Mother Nature missed the memo.

Yes, Will is teaching Alex how to climb a fence. And Esther is trying to set up a zip-line. You should have seen the hang glider/swing/death trap they came up with. When they came inside they were tired, filthy, and happy.

I realized today as we were having a wonderful time at the University of Nebraska State Museum of Natural History, that I forgot the camera.

Oh well. Here's what else we did today.

I finally finished knitting my very first scarf (for Alex - since it wouldn't have to be very big to fit him).

It was fun, and didn't turn out too horrible. I just might try to knitting again!

And this is what the kids were up to most of the afternoon.

Will and Esther got out most of their toys for a very involved castle/Lego/doll house/action figure type game. Alex is in the background watching the wheels of one of his cars as he makes it roll along the ground.

V-Day

It's never too early to start creating things for Valentine's Day!
